Well, as you can see below I haven't been painting...I needed a break and try and work out some kinks in personal taste, technique and substance as far as what I paint and how I attack it. I decided to return to my art doll to finish it to keep the creative juices flowing and keep me on track as far as having pieces to shoot and show for my portfolio for grad school. So this is my first doll, please keep that in mind...I do need to study some techniques in fabric work, and sculpting...as well as, of course...painting...but for my first endeavor in this pursuit I am definitely more pleased with it than I am my last painting...I do think this is turning out better....although not technically adept...still a good try. I have to finish the bottom half of the piece and work out how to finish the bottom of this bust doll...the base I did buy and it is an antique base from about the turn of the century...so it has some lovely elements to it that I believe add to this work....photos of that will come as I finish this piece....
